Modern Networks are delighted to announce that Ian Kelly and Duncan Gooding have joined the Hitchin based Managed Service Provider as board members.
Ian Kelly assumes responsibility as financial lead, bringing with him a wealth of experience from the technology sector, being a part of organisations such as Impero Software and Tungsten PLC. With a proven track record in financial transformation, Ian has managed fast business growth across media, technology and SaaS industries.
Duncan Gooding joins the team to direct operations; sales and the overarching Modern Networks go to market strategy. With a strong history of leadership in the UK channel and IT industry including TalkTalk and Computacenter, Duncan will bring a unique yet experienced approach to operational excellence, sales growth and market proposition.
Duncan commented, “I’ve admired from afar what Matt created in 1999, the excellent customer base and the solutions provided to them. Modern Networks has been backed by Horizon Capital since 2021 and is set for incredible growth going into the next financial year and I am pleased to be on-board as part of the journey.”
Having guided the first three years of acquisitions after the initial £40m Horizon investment in 2021, non-executive board members, Lee Shorten and Andy Roberts, will be stepping down.
Matt Reeve remains in his role as CEO and responsible for the overall Modern Networks strategy. Regarding the changes, Matt said “It’s a great pleasure to welcome Ian and Duncan onto the Modern Networks board. Since 2021, Horizon has been a great supporter of our vision of truly making a difference, delivering managed services to our customers that revolutionise their business and I believe with them both on board we can continue to make this a reality nationwide.”
