The festive period is traditionally a busy time for Modern Networks, and we remain committed to ensuring the reliability and stability of your IT services. In line with our underlying carriers—who impose seasonal change freezes on their networks—we will be implementing our own Change Freeze to protect the availability of live services.
The Change Freeze will be in effect from 15th December 2024 to 7th January 2025.
What this means for our customers:
- Our Service Desk will continue to operate as normal throughout the Christmas and New Year period, excluding bank holidays.
- In-flight project work with pre-agreed dates is expected to continue as planned. While we aim to proceed without disruption, some activities may be subject to exceptions or carrier-related factors outside our control.
- Emergency changes required to restore service during an outage will continue as normal and are not subject to the freeze.
Exclusions (not affected by the freeze):
- Customer-initiated changes limited to your dedicated infrastructure and not impacting shared platform services.
- Routine incident and service request handling (e.g., joiners, leavers, movers, permission changes).
If you are planning any changes to live services during this period, or if you have any questions, please contact the Service Desk via the usual channels. We encourage early engagement so that any changes and associated risks can be assessed and scheduled appropriately.
