Important notification: service change freeze during festive period

Dear customers,

The festive period is a particularly busy time for Modern Networks, and we continue to be committed to providing a reliable service for all our customers. In line with our circuit providers who impose a change freeze on all our external networks, we will be operating a Change Freeze to ensure the continuity and availability of our customer’s IT infrastructure.

The Change Freeze will be in place between:

09:00 on Friday 13th December 2024 and

09:00 on Monday 6th January 2024.

What does this mean to our customers:

  • The service desk will continue to function as normal and will deliver normal services over the Christmas period except for the bank holidays.
  • Any project-related services that are ‘in-flight’ and have dates scheduled will not be impacted by the change freeze.
  • Any emergency changes required to resolve an incident will not be impacted by the change freeze.

Exclusions:

  • Customer-initiated changes to their own infrastructure.
  • Routine handling of incidents and service requests (joiners, leavers, movers, permission changes).

For telephony customers: if you require assistance with call diverts or seasonal voicemail greetings (e.g. changes to opening hours) please let us know by Monday 16th December to ensure that we have ample time to act on your request. We can’t guarantee the completion of requests received after this date.

If you are planning any changes to live services during this period or have any questions, please contact the Service Desk via the normal channels. We would like to discuss your requirements as early as possible so that the change and risk can be assessed and planned accordingly.
