Business IT Consultant


Modern Networks are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Business IT Consultant to join our growing Client Relationship team based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. As a business, Modern Networks provides a variety of IT and telecoms managed services. We partner with leading technology vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, HP, NetApp and VMware.

The Business IT Consultant responsibilities will include:
• Leading a number of high value client engagements
• Meeting clients face to face to discuss existing services and future requirements
• Providing strategic IT and communications advice
• Writing reports for clients detailing your recommendations
• Working with clients and internal teams to improve the quality of services delivered

The Business IT Consultant is the face of Modern Networks within our client’s organisations. Aiming to be the client’s trusted advisor, you will need to be professional at all times, an excellent communicator with detailed IT and communications knowledge, and strong organisational skills.

The ideal candidate will have technical or consultancy experience within a service provider business such as an MSP, VAR, Telecoms / ISP, or Technology Distributor business, or senior IT management experience within a commercial organisation.

Salary and benefits

We offer a comprehensive salary and benefits package including a competitive basic salary in line with market rates depending upon skills and experience, 25 days’ holiday, pension scheme, life assurance, health plan, shopping discounts, child care vouchers, bike to work scheme. Working hours are 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday).
