THE CUSTOMER

Broadway Travel is an experienced travel company with 160 IT users which was founded in 1948.   The headquarters is in Luton and there is a Newcastle office.  Staff also work from home country-wide.

Excellent management processes and systems are  required as all of the holiday booking systems, including the phone system (which is business critical) run on desktops and servers.

Broadway Travel needs to be confident in its IT at all times, all year round, to fulfill its aim of making the process of booking a holiday as painless and as trouble-free as possible.  IT reliability is crucial to delivering the service its customers demand.

THE CHALLENGE

Broadway Travel needed to be certain of a fast, reliable IT infrastructure that would enable around 160 members of staff to book holidays for clients, from their PCs, wherever they were working.

With a head office in Luton, a Northern office in Newcastle and numerous staff working from home across the country, the system needed to be easy to roll out to the various locations and fully supported by Modern Networks – as the responsible manager at Broadway Travel is a non-specialist.

 

THE SOLUTION

Modern Networks specified and installed the hardware required so that it was robust, more than capable of handling the workload and could be set up easily for each working location of Broadway staff across the UK.

Equally importantly, Modern Networks continues to provide expert telephone help to all staff encountering problems using the system and, if issues cannot be resolved remotely, on-site visits.
