At Silverstone Park, properties can be found to suit high-tech engineering companies of all sizes with industrial units and workshops located opposite the illustrious Silverstone Formula 1 circuit amidst the beautifully landscaped surroundings of the Park. As well as this, their one-of-a-kind Metrology facility provides access to cutting-edge technology along with Silverstone Park’s Metrology Network, which offers regular events, technology information days and prestigious guest speakers.
The Requirement
Modern Networks (formerly Bridge Fibre) installed a single fibre circuit to Silverstone Park back in January of 2014, as overall ADSL services were poor and unreliable. The average speed was around 6 Mbps download and 0.Mbps. Being a site that is at the heart of a technology cluster, a poor and unreliable internet service is not desirable or in keeping with the theme of high performance. Silverstone needed a consistent and all-encompassing connectivity solution that any business of any size could benefit from.
The Innovation Centre was the first building to go live with our connectivity services and saw most tenants take a broadband product from us. Our reliable speeds start at 30Mbps and go beyond 200Mbps.
Our Solution
With the successful uptake of our connectivity services, we then upgraded the park, installing a second fibre circuit in 2015 to ensure business continuity in the unlikely event of a single circuit failure. This safeguard and additional peace of mind for tenants comes as standard with all our broadband services at Silverstone and at no additional cost.
Companies outside of the Innovation Centre can also benefit from our services with the choice of either a wired or wireless broadband service.
