Modern Networks are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Account Manager to join our growing Sales and Marketing team based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. As a business we provide a variety of IT and telecoms managed services. We partner with leading technology vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, HP, NetApp & VMware.
Account Manager responsibilities include:
- dealing with client sales enquiries
- management of client accounts
- generating quotes and proposals
- processing customer orders
- prospecting for new business within existing accounts
- growing sales revenues and contract values
The Account Managers deal with a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment, good IT service and product awareness is essential, as is attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
The ideal candidate will have sales or Account Management experience within an MSP, VAR, Telecoms / ISP, or Technology Distributor business, with broad IT / Telecoms service product knowledge, and the ability to learn about new products and services.

Salary and benefits
We offer a comprehensive salary and benefits package including a competitive basic salary in line with market rates depending upon skills and experience, 25 days’ holiday, pension scheme, life assurance, health plan, shopping discounts, child care vouchers, bike to work scheme. Working hours are 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday).
