Modern Networks proudly sponsored CBRE in their annual charity bike ride which has already raised an incredible amount – almost £35,000 with donations still coming in!
After cycling a grueling 190km a day, a team of intrepid cyclists – including CBRE colleagues, clients, families and friends, reached their final destination on the annual CBRE charity bike ride. Having started out at Toulouse on 2 June, the team arrived safely in Barcelona on Wednesday 6 June, despite one over-enthusiastic member diving over a fence with 10 foot drop!
Rob Smith, Associate Director – Projects Group, Building Consultancy, who led the team said from Barcelona “It’s a fantastic achievement for everyone involved, and there was a very enthusiastic celebratory dinner last night”
The main ride involved some 70 cyclists taking part who arrived in Barcelona on Wednesday 6 June after taking a route over mountain tracks that have featured in the Tour de France, exceeding 5000 feet altitude! The event raised money for the following four charities: UNICEF; Age UK; Red Cross; World Land Trust.
