On 17th May we hosted the 5th annual Modern Networks Golf Day. Customers were welcomed to Pavenham Park Golf Club to play a round in the beautiful countryside and glorious sunshine. The day, as always, was all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care – Modern Networks’ chosen charity – and we raised over £2000 for the cause.
It was in many respects a record-breaking day, most notably due to it being the longest game in the history of the club – one of the teams coming in over six hours after teeing off! And a winning overall score of 50 – perhaps with some liberal application of the out of bounds rule applied!
Matt Reeve, CEO, put in a spectacular performance as ever, only managing to fall out of the buggy once, and was only slightly put off when the Club Professional was looking on!
The raise funds by taking bets on who could get closest to the pin on the 16th hole. Modern Networks matched all the winning bets and we raised over £300. We were helped to our grand total through a combination of “Mulligans”, a raffle and an auction.
We all had a fantastic day and could not have asked for better weather, or better company!
